About Mike

Hi there! We’re so glad to have you here! MIke Huffman, Photographer, is based in Port Moody, BC, and serves primarily the lower mainland, but will travel anywhere to shoot your wedding or event. I specialize in capturing magical moments for adventurous couples, and delivering beautiful memories in a vibrant and classic style.
My Key Strength
My first and really only thought while shooting your wedding day is how to capture a couple’s essence in one photograph. I strive to capture each moment, naturally as it happens.
From the first conversation, my thoughts are how to really ‘wow’ the bride and groom and to freeze lots of those little perfect moments in time so I can compile those into a great package that the couple can reminisce on together for the rest of their lives together. Freezing a happy moment in time feels great but what tops that? Watching a newly married couple being able to relive that magic and romance in the same way they did on their wedding day, for the rest of their lives.– – Mike Huffman

Through My View Finder

relaxed couple
There’s very few really relaxed Brides and grooms on their wedding day. Even the very best of wedding planners can’t calm a betrothed couple down. It’s understandable because their making the biggest decision of their lives. It’s okay. I want to capture whatever emotion you’ve got going on. In the moment. As it happens. as raw as it happens.

Wake me up!
So what happens when the sunset is pointed right at the Bride and Groom? You make art. I’m usually humming a song in my head to help me through my day. Believe it or not, I had Evanescence was stuck in my head for this one. So, thanks to Amy Lee, this haunting and hopeful Photo was born. The Groom reminded me of Michael Stipe, and the Bride looked nothing like Amy Lee so I assume the Venue was my motivation.
